Ranch Democrats focuses its efforts within the communities of Ladera Ranch, Las Flores and Rancho Mission Viejo to advance the goals of the Democratic Party, as defined by the platforms of the California Democratic Party and the Democratic National Committee through voter outreach, public policy and political issue analysis, education, fund-raising, candidate recruitment and support, coordination with other Democratic groups, and other activities to benefit the Democratic Party while also publicizing activities and building its membership.

There are two types of members for Ranch Democrats:
- Regular members
- Must be members in good standing by paying annual membership dues(January – December)
- Must be registered Democrat
- Will have voting rights when voting on meeting motions and for endorsements or contributions to candidates and causes.
- You may belong to other Democratic Clubs in Orange County, but you need to designate Ranch Democrats as my/our “home club” for purposes of club endorsements and participation in Party business per DPOC and CDP Bylaws.
- Affiliate members
- Do not pay membership dues but donations are welcome
- Do not have to be a registered Democrat
- Can participate in meeting discussions and activities/events
- Ranch Democrats does not need to be your “home club”
- You can be a member of as many clubs as you want!
How does the membership signup process work?
- First, we collect membership dues and donations using a third-party application called ActBlue.
- If you already have an ActBlue Express account you can use that account to complete your payment.
- An ActBlue account is not required but it will speed up future payments for donations or the annual membership dues.
- Second, a Member Information Form will be displayed. This form is needed to collect member payment information that is required by Federal and State regulations. It is important that you take the time to complete this form.
- NOTE: You may be prompted to select a picture. This is called Captcha and is used to prevent spammers from using the site. If it looks like the page went blank then scroll up.

Membership dues received from October 1st to December 31st will have an extended membership through December 31st of the following year starting October 1, 2025. Also, all members are added to the Ranch Democrats mailing list.
